Babyliss Superclipper.

Music and sound design: Bent Ear

20 second TV Commercial for the new Babyliss Superclipper.

Our brief was to convey a sense of the high-quality and Japanese provenance of the machine. We hit and stroked metal rods, closely bunched together and recorded the results using our contact microphones. Its a similar sound to washing out a wok and tapping the rim. We also recorded some Japanese shakuhachi (flute) tones along with a woodblock and koto.
